What Is the Moonlight Tour?

The 창덕궁 달빛기행 (Changdeokgung Dalbit Giyeong) is a special nighttime walking tour held inside Changdeokgung Palace — a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Seoul. It runs exclusively in spring and autumn, when the weather is perfect and the gardens are at their most beautiful.

Unlike daytime visits, guests walk lantern-lit stone paths through the palace's secret garden (Huwon), watch traditional performances, and experience the palace as Joseon royalty once did — under the moon.

⏱ Duration: Approx. 2 hours  ·  Group size: Max 100 guests  ·  Language: Korean-guided (English brochure provided)
"Walking through lantern-lit courtyards at night, you genuinely feel like time has stopped somewhere in the 15th century."

Why Every Visitor is Obsessed With It

Changdeokgung is already considered the most beautiful of Seoul's Five Grand Palaces — but after dark, it transforms into something otherworldly.

The autumn edition is particularly special — red and gold maples frame ancient wooden halls, and the reflections in Buyongji Pond look like a painting. Many visitors call it the single best experience of their Korea trip.
